MDHS's recent College and Career Fair showcased impressive displays created by our dedicated AVID students. In their AVID class, students engage in thorough exploration and research of various colleges and the diverse career paths they may wish to pursue. AVID, which stands for Advancement Via Individual Determination, equips students with essential skills such as critical thinking, organization, and effective communication—skills that are vital for excelling not only in their academic pursuits but also in their future careers. This fair provided a valuable platform for students to present their findings and reflect on the opportunities available to them as they prepare for life beyond high school. We wanted to thank everyone who participated and everyone who supported this showcase.
